Aleppo (Arabic: حلب‎ / ALA-LC: Ḥalab, IPA: ['halab]) is the largest city in Syria

and the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world.

Aleppo is a laboratory for experiments in performance and politics.

Each cultural proposal can be conceived as a hole within the surface of reality: a specific community comes together around an unsolved question with which is confronted; a hole that belongs to reality, out of which a stream of different possibilities is released.

Aleppo applies its work in different ways and in relation to specific cultural institutions, in order to develop theoretical discourses and to imagine new spaces of research within programs.
